The Black Bar Association of Bronx County announces the 2006 Scholarship.

Topic: Currently states disenfranshise persons convicted of committing crimes. Please determine what role if any voter disenfranshisement should play in today’s society. Please place special attention on New York State.

Award: Two winners will recieve $1000 cash award or $1000 value towards Bar review course. Awards will be presented at the BBABC's annual Dinner Dance to be held on June 7, 2006.

Qualifications:
Second and Third Year Law Students -- enrolled full-time or part-time, are invited to apply for this Scholarship Award.

Submit:
A resume, a three page essay, include a one paragraph statement indicating your area of interest within the field of law. Each Finalist will be required to complete either a phone or in-person interview with the Scholarship Committee. Each submission must be postmarked on or before April 15, 2006.
